Dr. Daniel Harris, PhD
Daniel Harris is an assistant professor in the UK Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science and the director of clinical research analytics for the UK Institute of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy. His research focuses on expanding the role of biomedical informatics in clinical data warehouses; in particular, he is interested in helping foster a more productive and useful data warehouse by leveraging the latest research in natural language processing, visualization, and geospatial analysis.
HEALing Communities Study role: Harris oversees the administrative data infrastructure, the data portal, manages the database and web development teams within the Data, Informatics and Biostatistics Core. He manages receipt of administrative data from data sharing partners, manages the cyber-infrastructure for administrative data, and oversees the transmission of calculated measures to the data coordinating center.
